Cheap bits of wood

I can remember a church hanging on the wall of the old house in Cabra like some exotic icon that a local priest may have given to us as a gift, maybe from the Pope himself for prayers and dedications offered up in this house alone! But I was wrong, again in the process of looking for more info on the Grandparents Mam’s Dad was fairly brilliant with a small saw and spent a few hours a day working on this clock below, seemingly the clock itself was second hand and the wood he used to house it was fairly inexpensive but turned out fairly good after a blast of staining and a varnish. I don’t think I could have the wits and patience about me to create something like this – maybe someday when I’ve calmed down.
