Babe Ruth – February 6, 1895 – August 16, 1948

He looked like a bloke you could have gone on a drinking spree with for a whole weekend, they said he had amazing charisma and that must have been helped by the fact that he changed baseball forever, was one of the first to be inducted in their hall of fame, and i did like to find out that he had his own radio show in latter days doing his own baseball quiz on air and only till last week did Derek Jeter out pass his record of 2873 hits.

He has a couple of un- matched records and a legacy that brings real integrity and history to Americas favourite sport, he has continued to be an inspiration and landmark for all those who love baseball.
